Real Wedding: Rashi's Oceanside Celebration

The Malibu shoreline made our traditional, ethnic feeling mandap even more beautiful. The wood structure was 8'x8' and  we then finished with brushed gold. The almond chiffon and coral raspberry chiffon we used looked added pop to the floral additions.

The mandap florals consisted of smilax garland wrapped around the top and down the sides of the front columns with greenery and wisteria gently draping down. We added collections of petite white and nude flowers that accented the greenery without losing the organic vibe. In theory, this design was flawless! When we got to the venue to set up for the ceremony, however, it was so windy! Luckily enough the filament we used allowed the design to really "flow" with the elements and everything came together wonderfully.

One of our favorite elements from the ceremony came from our green "floating leaf" garland that was draped behind the couple. Trickling down the back of the mandap were hand-strung leaves on filament that allowed the beautiful view to shine through. As you can see in some of the images, the leaves were able to move and adjust with the Malibu breeze.

The bride and groom requested garland with a new twist. We used leaves spaced between white and peach roses for a the traditional garland look that uniquely coordinated with their ceremony!

Rashi's bouquet was created using a mixture of blush tulips and juliet garden roses, white anemones and roses, grey dusty miller, and wax flowers. We created adorable accessories for friends and family that included hair bracelets and necklaces, and then finished them with a grey velvet ribbon.

For the escort station, we used one of our large freestanding wall which was then covered with a very fitting textured fabric. On one side we pinned custom metal-pressed leaves and on the other side were adorable photos of the bride and groom. These gold metal leaves were a last minute addition to the overall design but we can't imagine Rashi and Manoj's special day without them!

The dessert table was super fun featuring a collection of paper garlands, blush satin ribbons, and oversized gold leaves.

This reception still makes us smile! Set in the parking lot of the Sunset Restaurant in Malibu, CA, this lot had never looked better. Our round tables had low florals with a very whimsical garden design. We used a variety of footed mixed mercury vases, vintage looking brass candle stands and ivory tapers with clear sleeves. The votives that we used had a golden trellis design that matched the overall look perfectly!

The high level design used candelabras in a vintage gold finish with clear taper candle holders and ivory taper candles. Trickling up the side of the trunk of the candelabra was a very light blend of greenery and petite blooms. Nestled at the base were more taper candles with petite satellite florals.

King tables, on the other hand, featured a low and lush look created out of candles. Tapers, brass candleholders, and 5" candle sleeves with patterned gold votives spanned down the 8ft length while airy mixed greenery with petite blooms was  intertwined.

The napkin treatment was a sprig of huckleberry greenery with grey velvet ribbon that draped off of the table.
